01 · How it works

Scan, choose,send.

Your guest only needs their phone. They see your own menu, in the style and colours of your ordering site, at the same prices as your till.

  1. 01

    Scan and choose

Your guest points their phone’s camera at the QR code and your menu opens straight away, with no app or account. They choose their dishes, with extras and a note for the kitchen.

    Send

In the basket, they tap Send order. Adding a name is optional. They pay later at the till.

  3. 03

    Order more

Fancy a dessert or another drink? Order something else adds a new round to the same bill. They also see what the table has already ordered.

02 · In your restaurant

Every round goes straightonto the table’s bill.

Your staff get a notification with a sound, the kitchen ticket prints by itself and the round goes on the table’s open bill. Just as if your waiter had keyed it in.

  • A notification with a sound

Your till shows the new round, with the table, the round number and the amount.

  • The kitchen ticket prints by itself

With the table, the round, the time and your guest’s name, without prices. If the print agent is offline, you get a notification with a Print kitchen ticket button.

  • One bill per table

Every round goes on the table’s open bill, with a QR label. Your staff add their own rounds with Save.

  • Paying at the till

At the end, the table settles up at the till: cash, Bancontact, card or Payconiq, split if they like.

Questions about table ordering

Don’t see your question? Feel free to call us. You’ll go straight through to someone who knows the hospitality trade.

How does QR code table ordering work?

Every table has its own QR code. Your guest scans it with their phone’s camera and sees your menu, in the style of your ordering site. They choose their dishes, with extras and a note for the kitchen, and tap Send order. The order goes on that table’s open bill in your till as a round, and the kitchen gets a ticket.

Does my guest need to download an app or create an account?

No. The QR code opens an ordinary web page in their phone’s browser, with no app and no account. They can add their name so the kitchen knows who it’s for, but they don’t have to.

How does my guest pay?

At the till, as always: nobody pays on their phone. All of a table’s rounds are on one bill. At the end you settle it at the till, in cash or by Bancontact, card or Payconiq. You can split the bill and add a tip. The receipt prints at the same time.

Does the order go straight to the kitchen?

Yes, on a kitchen ticket. Your till gets a notification with a sound and prints the kitchen ticket automatically: with the table, the round, the time, your guest’s name and the dishes, without prices. For that, a till screen has to be open while the print agent is online. If printing fails, you get a notification with a Print kitchen ticket button. Rounds ordered by QR code don’t appear on the kitchen display or in Live Orders.

Can guests order more later on?

Yes. With Order something else, your guest sends a new round, on the same bill. They see what the table has already ordered, with the total so far, including what your staff added at the till. More people at the table? Each of them can order from their own phone.

Do my guests see the same menu and prices?

Yes. It’s your usual menu, with your photos, extras and allergens, at the same prices as your till. Your Promotions apply too. The page follows the style, colour and languages of your ordering site.

How do I make the QR codes for my tables?

In POS > Tables. Print all QR codes gives you an A6 card for each table, in your own colour, with your logo, the table’s name and Scan to order. You can also download a table’s code as PNG or SVG, for a table stand or a sticker, for example.

Can I switch QR ordering off for a while?

Yes, for the whole restaurant or per table. Guests also can’t order while you’re closed for the holidays or have closed the restaurant yourself for a while. The page tells them why and shows your opening hours. Lost a card? Make a new code for that table and the old one stops working.

What if my guest taps twice or briefly loses signal?

The round only goes on the bill once. If the phone isn’t sure the order got through, the page asks them to try again, and even then the order is only booked once.

Does table ordering cost extra?

No. QR code table ordering is included in your subscription of €99 a month, excluding VAT. You pay no commission per order.
